    POSITION SUMMARY:
    This position will coach high school age children in the sport of Volleyball. Collaborate with the Athletic Director or designee regarding practice activities/strategies. Implement daily practice activities for students. Coordinate game schedules. Accompany and supervise team at home and away games. Develop and promote good community relations among stakeholders.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Create a positive learning environment and effective management structures to purposefully promote student learning and achievement. Promote an environment respecting the dignity of the child that is perceived by students as fair and consistent.

    Provide quality accurate constructive corrective specific and timely feedback to students that encourages them to perform at their highest level.

    Apply and implement knowledge skills and new understandings to improve programming. Uses professional Code of Ethics and standards of practice to guide ethical decision-making in practice.

    Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

    SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Possible supervision of support personnel.
    Conduct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to interview participation training/development assign and direct work performance feedback address complaints and resolve problems.

    BUDGET AND/OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Prioritize and schedule work tasks independently.
    Create and implement effective and efficient process management strategies (e.g. procedures equipment materials and supplies).
    Maintain accurate records in accordance with professional standards state guidelines and school system policy.
    Review processes for improvement opportunities and make changes as needed to ensure quality of program.

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
    English fluency will be determined through the interview process and licensure.

    LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
    Valid Colorado Drivers License.
    CHSAA (Colorado High School Activities Association) Certification.
    BOC (Board of Certification) ASEP (American Sport Education Program) Certification or equivalent.
    Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.

    • Upholds a generally positive attitude.
    • Complies with all District policies and procedures.
    • Adheres to federal and state laws regulations and policies.


    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Frequent lifting 10 (ten) to 20 (twenty) pounds.
    Occasional lifting of up to one hundred fifty (150) pounds.
    Frequent sitting bending walking and standing.
    Occasional stooping kneeling squatting and reaching.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    Mostly clean and comfortable occasional dirt or dust temperature extremes noise.
    Occasional exposure to adverse climate and weather conditions.
    May encounter bodily fluids.

    REPORTS TO:
    Athletic Director or designee.

    LOCATION:
    Englewood High School

    SALARY:
    Per the Master Agreement stipend is dependent on previous coaching experience and ranges from $4149.50 - $6224.25. This amount is paid in full as a stipend at the end of the season.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    New hires or rehires will be responsible for the fingerprint processing fee required for background checks through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

    CLOSING DATE:
