Job Description
Commercial Litigation Associate Insurance Coverage (Defense)
Washington D.C. Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
Salary: $270K - $315K Bonus Eligible
HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting on behalf of a prestigious Am Law 100 firm seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice in Washington D.C. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-stakes insurance coverage litigation including emerging legal issues involving environmental and product liability claims.
Ideal candidates will be 2019 - 2021 law school graduates with 4 - 6 years of complex litigation experience preferably from an Am Law 100/200 or similarly respected firm.
Key Responsibilities:

Draft complex litigation documents including pleadings motions and legal memoranda

Manage full case lifecycle from inception through trial and appeal

Conduct in-depth legal research and strategic analysis

Oversee discovery including depositions and written discovery
-
Communicate and collaborate with clients experts witnesses and opposing counsel

Analyze and advise on insurance coverage and extra-contractual issues including coverage opinions
Candidate Requirements:
-
4 - 6 years of complex litigation experience (insurance coverage preferred but not required)

Licensed and in good standing with the D.C. Bar

Demonstrated interest in insurance law environmental liability and risk analysis

Exceptional writing analytical and oral advocacy skills
-
Prior experience in Federal District or Appellate clerkships is a plus

Strong case management skills and a commitment to client service

Must have a stable work history strong academic background and large-firm experience
