Job Description
Position: Buyer
NARIK CONSULTING LLC is seeking a motivated and experienced Buyer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. As a Buyer you will be responsible for sourcing negotiating and purchasing goods and services for our company. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization and make a significant impact on our procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and work to develop new partnerships
- Monitor inventory levels and make purchasing decisions based on demand and budget
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant laws and regulations
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish including issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries
- Analyze data and prepare reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior Small Company Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with procurement software is a plus
- Experience working with ERP systems Preferred (Great Plains/Sage)
- Knowledge of contract management and legal terms
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Knowledge of industry trends and market conditions
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to procurement
