Location/Division Specific Information

Discover Impactful Work: As a Security Awareness Project Coordinator youll play a key role in scaling cybersecurity and technology awareness Thermo Fisher Scientific. Working closely with the Manager Education & Exercises youll help bring strategic goals to life by driving project coordination maintaining alignment across workstreams and keeping initiatives on track. From global awareness campaigns to behavior-change initiatives your work will directly contribute to building a more informed vigilant workforce and a stronger security culture. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong project management skills and a passion for cybersecurity to make a tangible impact.

A Day in the Life

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of cybersecurity awareness projects such as campaigns behavior change initiatives and security tooling rollouts.
  • Coordinating and facilitating project planning timelines meetings tracking action items and following up with collaborators to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintaining detailed project plans and timelines; proactively identifying risks dependencies and delays.
  • Establishing and tracking key performance metrics to evaluate the efficiency of security awareness initiatives and communicating successes and areas for improvement to collaborators.
  • Supporting in managing workstreams that contribute to awareness objectives including coordination with IT HR compliance and other internal partners.
  • Communicating effectively with team members and collaborators to ensure clarity of goals responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Contributing to presentation materials and updates for leadership and cross-functional teams.

Education

  • BA/BS in Education Communications Business Computer Science or related field. Equivalent work experience is accepted.
  • Project management coursework or certification (e.g. CAPM PMP Agile/Scrum)
  • Exposure to cybersecurity risk management or compliance-related environments is a plus

Experience Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to lead multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across complementary teams and customers.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and technologies preferred.
  • Experience working in a global multicultural environment is helpful.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $91700.00$137525.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on which includes:
