Job Description
The Department of Anesthesia is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assists the members of the Anesthesia team in provision of multiple types of patient care areas. Their work requires familiarity with a wide variety of specialized tasks and procedures in support of the staff anesthesiologists resident physicians staff nurse anesthetists and student nurse anesthetists. These procedures include but are not limited to the initiation of clinical technical janitorial and logistic support in all anesthetizing locations including operating rooms and satellite locations. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.
Duties to include:
Inspects functional condition of all accessories and equipment. Assure that proper anesthesia-related equipment is available and in the correct configuration for the next case. Assist the anesthesia providers in the transport of patients from various locations while the patient is being monitored - Moves all necessary equipment to satellite anesthetizing stations as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by team members.
