Job Description
Abilene High School is seeking a motivated individual to serve as an Assistant Girls Basketball Coach. The ideal candidate will support the head coach in developing a competitive program that exemplifies and re-enforces our athletic/activity core values ofcommitment effort and teamwork. This position is a great opportunity for someone passionate about mentoring student-athletes and contributing to a strong positive team culture.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the head coach with planning and executing practices games and offseason training.
Support player development through skill instruction fundamentals and strategies.
Model and re-enforce our core values of commitment effort and teamwork.
Build relationships with players and help monitor academic progress.
Communicate effectively with athletes families and school staff.
Help manage equipment uniforms and game-day preparation.
Collaborate with coaching staff to ensure vertical alignment between our youth middle and high school program.
Adhere to all school district and KSHSAA policies and expectations.
