You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSecurity Specialists provide security consulting services to all Mayo functions and entities and to external clients as directed. They conduct security surveys threat and risk assessments investigations evaluations of security equipment and technology and special projects or assignments as directed. Security Specialists also coordinate and conduct specialized training for personnel as well as operational security awareness education for all Mayo employees. Security Specialists may also be required to research or revise security-related policies procedures or standards.
This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. Also Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with three years of progressively responsible security experience or associates degree with five years of progressively responsible security experience or HS/GED with seven years of progressively responsible security experience.
Additional Experience and/or Qualifications:
Security Specialists must demonstrate strong ability in leadership personal interaction time management and project administration as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Licensure/Certification Required:
(For applicable positions) Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation required within two years of date of employment. Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Mayo Clinic Policy.
