The Role:
As a Junior Accountant in the EMEA/APJ finance team you will be involved in a wide range of day-to-day accounting activities supporting both our Swedish parent company and our German subsidiary. This is a hands-on role with room to grow offering exposure to international accounting and close collaboration with teams across the organization. Youll join a supportive and collaborative team where curiosity structure and a willingness to learn are highly valued.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day accounting for Yubico AB including:
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Incoming and outgoing payments
- VAT reporting and preparation of VAT declarations
- Expense management and payroll-related bookings
- Month-end activities including reconciliations and accruals
- Perform similar accounting tasks for our German subsidiary
- Collaborate with other finance team members during monthly book close
- Participate in cross-regional collaboration including meetings with the US team
Basic Requirements:
- Around 12 years of experience in accounting preferably including accounts payable
- Familiarity with VAT and payroll-related accounting (e.g. vacation pay liability social security contributions) is a plus
- Vocational education or equivalent post-secondary training in accounting or finance
- Comfortable working in both Swedish and English written and spoken
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and well-organized
- Team player with a generous and curious mindset
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
