About the role
We are excited to offer an opportunity to join the Central Policy team for approximately 6-8 months as a replacement for Natalie while she is on parental leave.
The Policy Advisor is one of two members of the Central Policy team with responsibilities across the
technical advisory and administrative aspects of policy management. They manage the policy records
across SharePoint and the RMIT website. The Policy Advisor is the first point of contact for enquiries from across the University on all aspects of the policy lifecycle.
The Policy Advisor supports the project work of the Central Policy Manager to continuously improve policy-related processes and quality assurance of RMITs policies.
The HEW6 position will be responsible for:
Maintaining the TWEEK database
Ensuring appropriate approvals have been obtained prior to publishing or revising any policy documents
Handling general enquiries received through the email
Communicating policy news through Viva Engage and RMIT Life
Maintaining up-to-date information on Policy Hub.
To be successful in this position you will have:
High level writing and communication skills
Capacity for problem-solving particularly with database and SharePoint
Customer service mindset
The ability to prioritise competing tasks.

About the Portfolio
The Governance Legal and Strategic Operations Group works with other areas of the University to achieve RMITs objectives by strategically providing legal privacy policy compliance complaints and secretariat services.
The Policy Advisor is part of the Privacy Compliance and Contract Services team.
