The Clinical Supervisor manages the day-to-day supervision of the Ohio Mobile Response Stabilization Services (MRSS) program for Choices Coordinated Care Solutions. The incumbent will provide ongoing consultation coaching and supervision to direct reports ensuring quality delivery of services catered to high acuity and complex youth.
The MRSS team is responsible for 24/7 mobile emergency responses (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. face to face and 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. telephonic) for youth and adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis in Montgomery or Preble Counties in Ohio. The MRSS team operates from a strengths-based perspective collaborating with first responders community stakeholders clinical leadership and fellow mobile crisis responders. The MRSS team will work within a culture of crisis prevention making every effort to ensure individuals are effectively stabilized within their home and community whenever possible. The MRSS team will ensure appropriate follow-up for individuals who have experienced a crisis event and ensure linkage to ongoing supports and services operating in an enhanced localized crisis response system contributing to the goal of increased community stabilization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Keeps the focus of the teams clinical vision for staff and community.
- Works with Regional MRSS Director to ensure that Choices is compliant with current contract requirements.
- Provides ongoing and regular consultation coaching and supervision at least one hour weekly for all direct reports.
- Convenes regular team meetings using an efficient consistent process to review progress of high acuity and/or complex youth and make intervention decisions to ensure families meet their identified goals.
- Provides a mobile response when other MRSS staff are not available.
- Provides telephonic consultation and/or mobile deployment when other MRSS staff are unavailable when back-up coverage is needed.
- Oversees service delivery quality in accordance with the states established parameters and in line with the Regional MRSS Director and Choices Quality Assurance Personnel.
- Provides telephonic clinical consultation when needed.
- Meets all outlined requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code for the MRSS program.
- Participates in the hiring training and retention of staff at the assigned site.
- Follows and implements the programs strategic plan and quality improvement processes approved by Choices.
- Uses data from the electronic health record and other sources to guide decision-making for supervision of staff.
- Maintains positive working relationships with co-workers.
- Willingly completes other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Choices.
Qualifications
- Holds one of the following licenses:
(a) Licensed social worker;
(b) Licensed independent social worker;
(c) Licensed professional counselor;
(d) Licensed chemical dependency counselor II;
(e) Licensed chemical dependency counselor III;
(f) Licensed professional clinical counselor;
(g) Licensed independent chemical dependency counselor;
(h) Licensed marriage and family therapist;
(i) Licensed independent marriage and family therapist;
(j) Psychologist; or
(k) Psychiatrist.
- Within 30 days of employment completion of sixteen hours of online learning administered or designated by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services for Peer Supporter Training.
- Within 30 days of employment completion of the four-hour supervising peers training administered or designated by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services for Peer Supporter supervisor training.
- Significant supervisory experience that promotes leadership and initiative in line staff successful team building consensus building conflict resolution staff development and advocacy.
- Demonstrated competence in providing to and creating services for culturally diverse populations.
- Expertise in strength-based programming crisis intervention family systems theory multi- systems care coordination and case management.
- Demonstrated skill in team building and development.
- Strong communication and writing skills. Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) a plus.
- Must possess a valid drivers license in the state of residence auto insurance and reliable vehicle.
Salary: $67000 - $72000
