The Medical ICU is a Beacon Award winning unit at OHSU. As a unit we focus on providing both evidence-based and trauma informed care to all our patients.
The Medical ICU strives to provide the highest level of nursing care to our patients and families and to ensure patient outcomes through evidence-based nursing practice. We foster a healthy work environment in our team oriented high acuity ICU. . Our MICU offers lots of opportunities for nurses to grow their practice in devices such as CRRT and ECMO in addition to frontline leadership roles. The Medical Intensive Care Unit utilizes a multidisciplinary team approach to the care we provide to our patients: 40kg weight minimum age generally not less than 16 years with no upper age limit.
Diagnoses include but are not limited to:
$52.11-$86.81 per hour based on RN Degree and level of experience.
The OHSU Clinical registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate evidence-based and efficient care to individuals families communities and patient populations. The Clinical RNs care delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and the ANA Code of Ethics. The Clinical RN demonstrates the professional role obligations of scientist leader practitioner and knowledge transferor Onsomble Model of the Professional Role. Professional accountability enriches the Clinical RNs engagement as a leader in promoting an inter-professional culture of collaborative decision-making innovation life-long learning and teamwork.
