Curiosity & Creativity Lab is a place to delve into What is and dream about What ifEssential Functions:Deliver art instruction in the Teaching for Artistic Behavior (TAB) pedagogyIn collaboration with the K/1 Curiosity and Creativity Lab leader create & implement engaging curriculum that delves deeply into art while also incorporating opportunities to explore technology engineering math and music through collaborative projectsCreate and maintain a safe inviting organized classroom space which highlights and supports student learning where students can access utilize and care for many supplies materials and equipmentFacilitate Curiosity & Creativity Lab for all 2-5 crews twice a week to support crew leader planning timeActively gather and celebrate student questions and incorporate those wonders into the curriculum whenever possibleCollaborate with K-1 Curiosity & Creativity Lab partner Labs Team and classroom teachers regularly to coordinate programming including but not limited to Gosling DaysRegularly seek input and communicate with the Anser community about happenings and how they can be involved in Curiosity & Creativity Lab Document and display student creationsSupport crew leaders and administrators in creating school displays hosting performances and events for celebrations of learning enrollment events art shows STEAM events and other activitiesRecruit and collaborate with community partners to provide additional creative opportunities for studentsQualifications:Candidates must hold or be eligible for an Idaho K-8 Teaching Certificate or K-8 Art Education CertificateCandidates should be art educator or artist with an enthusiasm for stretching the creative space to include other modalities Experience or a willingness to adopt the TAB model of teaching art and creative thinking through a variety of modalities Dedication to deep consistent collaboration with the K/1 Curiosity and Creativity Lab Leader to grow the candidates skills outside of art and to align their programs to serve students Good communication classroom management and organizational skills are also helpful.
