Position Summary:

Join our ambitious team as a Material Handler II at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.! You will be responsible for transporting materials via company vehicles ensuring flawless inventory control and collaborating with multiple departments to implement world-class processes. Your role will be crucial in maintaining our high standards and contributing to our mission of making the world healthier cleaner and safer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive company-provided vehicles safely and strictly follow all state and local DOT regulations.
  • Unload and verify incoming materials reporting any damages and inventory variances immediately.
  • Label and stock materials while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
  • Pick prep and load internal orders ensuring they meet our efficiency standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and report discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist in both cooler and dry warehouse environments maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds standing walking and squatting throughout your shift.
  • Accurately complete documentation for company and carrier needs.
  • Apply warehouse equipment such as RF scanners and forklifts safely.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement activities.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of English and math with the ability to read and understand instructions.
  • Proficiency in navigating and using basic computer programs.
  • Ability to work in environments with temperatures down to 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Non Negotiable Criteria:

  • Maintain a valid Drivers License and successfully complete all driver certification training modules.
  • Ability to work in a cave environment as required.
