ROUGH TERRAIN (RT) CRANE OPERATOR- SAUDI ARABIA
Job Description:
Rough Terrain (RT) crane operator is responsible for operating and maneuvering a specialized crane designed for onshore drilling and rig move heavy lifting operations in rough uneven and off-road environments. The operator ensures the safe and efficient movement of heavy loads such as rig parts chemicals and large materials in challenging terrains.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate an 80-ton RT crane to lift move and position heavy loads accurately.
- Loading unloading and lifting rig parts chemical materials porta cabin and equipment.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of the crane including checking fluid levels brakes controls and safety devices.
- Plan lifting operations by assessing site conditions load requirements and crane capabilities.
- Coordinate with ground personnel and other team members to ensure safe lifting procedures.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations including OSHA and local safety codes.
- Maintain detailed logs of crane operation inspections and maintenance.
- Follow project schedules and work collaboratively with the drilling and rig move team.
Qualifications
Educational & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid certification for crane operation (e.g. Aramco Certification or equivalent).
- Proven experience operating 80-90 ton RT (XCMG or ZOOMLION) cranes brands or similar heavy machinery.
- Experience working in drilling and rig move operations.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of crane operation signaling and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of load charts rigging and lifting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Possesses a Saudi Driving license / H2H and other safety training certifications.
- Aramco Certified crane operator license and/or TUV license etc.
- Basic Salary: SAR.2700.00 plus SAR.300.00 food allowance
- Working Conditions: 8 regular working hours and 6 days a week. In excess is overtime pay.
- Duration of Contract: Two (2) years with option for renewal.
