The school operates across two thoughtfully designed campuses and serves students from preschool to high school. It provides a nurturing yet academically rigorous environment where independence creativity and inquiry-based learning are at the heart of the student experience.
Colegio Montessori has recently been expanding its international reach strategically bringing in qualified foreign educators to enrich its bilingual programming and further enhance students global perspectives. This initiative has led to a growing and supportive international teaching community within the school.
As part of the schools continued commitment to academic excellence and internationalisation they are now seeking an experienced Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join the high school team.
This is a core teaching position suited to a dynamic and collaborative educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality Mathematics instruction. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across secondary grade levels (Grades 912) helping prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level examinations while also supporting broader numeracy development across the school.
Plan prepare and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
Teach Mathematics across a range of secondary grades (primarily Grades 912).
Prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level Mathematics examinations.
Design differentiated learning experiences to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
Assess record and report on students progress regularly.
Collaborate with colleagues to align Mathematics teaching with cross-disciplinary initiatives.
Foster a supportive and positive classroom environment that encourages mathematical inquiry and problem solving.
Contribute to the schools wider learning community through participation in school events clubs and professional development initiatives.
We are looking for an educator who is:
A fluent English speaker (native-level proficiency preferred) or B2 or higher English level.
A qualified teacher (PGCE QTS state license or equivalent).
Experienced in teaching Mathematics at the secondary level ideally with familiarity with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
Skilled in differentiation and adaptable teaching strategies.
Collaborative flexible and culturally sensitive.
Open to working in a bilingual school community (Spanish not required but a plus).

Salary
Base salary: COP $5312300/month
Second language bonus (English): COP $2641000/month
Total Monthly Salary: COP $7953300
Semiannual bonuses: COP $(July & November)
