You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailProvide technical assistance for the Childrens Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) program by evaluating researching monitoring and updating the CSHCS database with accurate client demographics and medical eligibility information; preparing and generating correspondence and authorizations for services related to CSHCS medical eligibility while ensuring the applicants and active clients due process rights. Reviews and evaluates medical documents submitted to determine acceptability of the documents eligibility for clients enrollment in CSHCS program and proper routing for further professional medical consultant review. Also receives reviews/evaluates electronic enrollment applications received for acceptability and accuracy as well as checks for errors and/discrepancies; resolves discrepancies between various systems. Research tools include the CSHCS proprietary electronic application CHAMPS the Department of Human Services (DHS) eligibility application commonly known as Bridges Siebel EZ Link and FileNet databases along with public domain websites
Education
Possession of a high school diploma or a GED Certificate.
ExperienceOne year of experience performing experienced-level administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service.
Departmental Technician 8One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service.
OR
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service.
Departmental Technician E9Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service.
OR
One year of experience performing advanced secretarial or supervisory administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.

The physical location of this position is 400 S. Pine St. Lansing MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.
Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense including:
