Current Need:
We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join our legal team. This Contract Manager will be primarily responsible for managing the legal contracting process as well as collaborating with attorneys and internal stakeholders to achieve targeted results for analyzing negotiating drafting contracts and other legal documents.
Position Description:
- Day to day management of the sales contracting process for Global Payments software businesses.
- Respond appropriately to requests by legal personnel management and clients throughout the contracting process and formulate appropriate contract administration practices and office procedures.
- Responsible for negotiating structuring and administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors customers and partners.
- Works with sales and service teams as well as the legal department to structure contracts.
- Maintain the contract template library ensuring documents are current and adhere to legal department policies.
- Establishes contract management procedures and develops/updates templates to support new initiatives or services.
- Prepares first drafts of legal documents to ensure negotiated terms are accurately reflected and adhere to regulatory and organization policy.
- Make decisions on contract provisions in collaboration with attorneys management and other stakeholders.
- Assigns resources for legal projects and research requests aligning complexity with skill level.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders and attorneys to address competing interests and set priorities.
- Participates in conference calls and meetings with staff management consultants and clients to identify and document the need and scope of legal documents to include contracts exhibits amendments confidentiality agreements and letters of intent.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to resolve issues and gain consensus needed to secure approval of contractual documents and ensure accountability for agreed terms.
- Reviews formats and finalizes executable documents ensuring that all negotiated terms are accurately reflected.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- At least 5 years relevant experience as a corporate paralegal or contract manager in ahigh-quality law firm or corporate legal department.
