Job Description

Uxbridge High School is seeking a secondary special education teacher to work with a self-contained classroom. The successful candidate will be a licensed dynamic and creative educator supporting both academic support and classroom co-teaching successful candidate should submit a letter of interest resume and three current letters of reference. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree Required; Masters Degree preferred. Massachusetts licensure in moderate (acceptable) or severe (preferred) special needs must be either current or the individual must be able/willing to be certified in the : The candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with students parents and the multidisciplinary team. He/she should have experience working with and/or teaching students with disabilities as well as knowledge and understanding of a range of disabilities and the related needs in an inclusive educational setting. Candidates must have familiarity with Curriculum Standards as well as with formal and informal research-based assessments and successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive pedagogy as well as to the vision of high expectations for achievement and equal access to high quality instruction for all students.
