Position : Design Engineer
Location : Campsie/Farlough
Reporting to: Lead Engineer

We have an exciting roadmap ahead for new products services production capacity and business expansion. As a result of this continued success we are expanding our teams. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer Ecotec Brand based at Campsie or Farlough Dungannon site.

About the Role
- Provide engineered solutions for the development of new products and modifications to existing products.
- Follow Group standards of in the areas of QFD FMEA design-for-manufacture prototype development and field testing
- Follow Group engineering standards and associated IT systems to ensure effective global management of released engineering data
- Ensure current and new products meet standards and performance levels specified for safety function and reliability
- Reduce manufacturing cost through improved design and consultation with the production department purchasing and suppliers.
- To investigate and address Customer Complaints in a timely manner.
- Stay knowledgeable of machine component advancements and competitor design trends; apply latest technology to new and existing designs where appropriate to stay current and innovative.
- Support aftersales and helpdesk team with answering technical queries from dealers.
About you
- Degree educated or equivalent in Engineering ideally with design experience in this or a similar industry
- Competent user of 3D Solid Modeling CAD ideally CREO and familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
- Good technical expertise in mechanical and hydraulic systems
- A good understanding of the various applications that the equipment can operate in along with an appreciation for the expected performance of the machines.
- Creativity and innovative thinking
- Good English communication skill both written and spoken;
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- A Can do attitude and ability to interact with a multi-functional team.
- Ability to work with others to meet deadlines.
- Able to assess workload and commit to realistic timelines.
- Able to select from multiple design alternatives when a clear best choice is not evident.
- Can identify risks both technical and commercial with proposed product change or new product
