About You
Join our innovative team as a Senior Procurement Analyst a pivotal role focused on business and data analysis to enhance procurement strategies and processes. As this position combines business analysis with a reporting focus youll use your expertise to create and validate crucial reports contributing to a diverse range of panel operations and contract management. Embrace the opportunity to influence key business decisions through the development of strategic supplier performance scorecards and support for major sourcing events.
Youll engage with vendor scorecards and collaborate with sourcing managers providing insights that drive impactful decisions and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will also work closely with and support Sourcing and Vendor Managers on a regular basis extending beyond vendor scorecard and tender activities providing ongoing assistance and collaboration. This role offers a chance to make a tangible impact on our operations while enjoying the variety and challenge of non-routine tasks.
To be successful in this position youll have:
A minimum of 5 years of strong demonstrated procurement analytics experience in a large and complex environment and report development tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
Strong IT systems skills that can be effectively applied to the RMIT Procurement environment to develop reports and dashboard.
Demonstrated strong conceptual and analytical skills and an ability to think laterally to identify practical and workable solutions.
Advanced report writing skills and ability to develop reports based on business requirements and create set of standard reports with instructions for users.
Strong technical and commercial understanding of procurement processes and tools.
Demonstrated ability to derive insights and develop opportunity assessments from complex data sources.

About the Group
Procurement is a highly focused and strategic team that reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The team plays a vital role in delivering value to the university by optimising sourcing and procurement decisions across an annual spend of $500M on goods and services.
Procurement is committed to driving positive outcomes through:
Identifying and delivering cost optimisation opportunities across the universitys expenditure to maximise value for money
Strengthening and streamlining the supplier base to enhance quality foster innovation and build strong supplier relationships
Negotiating and establishing major university-wide contracts that harness the combined purchasing power of RMIT delivering significant savings and benefits
Enabling efficient and transparent procurement processes through robust policies systems and controls that support best practice procurement
Promoting the use of strategic group contracts to amplify savings and drive consistent value across the university
Through its work the Procurement team supports the universitys financial sustainability while enhancing service quality and supporting academic and operational excellence.
