Position Summary:

The Senior Relationship Specialist is responsible for providing a high level of customer service ensuring accuracy in transactions and supervising a team of bankers. They perform regular teller duties handle escalated client concerns and open new deposit accounts. Senior Relationship Specialists also play a key role in training new bankers and ensuring branch compliance with bank policies and procedures.

Additionally the Senior Relationship Specialist has the ability to manage client relationships identify client needs and provide tailored financial solutions to meet those needs. They are key contributors to the branchs success by driving sales and the client experience.

Essential Job Functions:

Client Experience:

Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries regarding accounts products and services.

Provide accurate information about banking products such as personal and business checking accounts and savings accounts. Address and resolve client concerns and complaints in a professional manner.

Assist clients with transactions including deposits withdrawals check cashing payments and wire transfers. Handle escalated client issues and resolve discrepancies effectively.

Team Leadership:

Oversee the day-to-day activities of the banker team ensuring transaction accuracy and that all policies and procedures are followed.

Provide feedback and guidance to ensure high performance and adherence to client experience standards.

Train new team members on banking procedures client experience and regulatory requirements. Serve as a mentor for less experienced team members providing ongoing support and development.

Operational Compliance:

Works closely with the Relationship Manager to oversee daily branch operations. Manage the branchs cash vault including counting balancing and maintaining appropriate cash levels. Ensures compliance with all bank policies procedures and regulatory requirements.

Perform end-of-day balancing for the vault and work closely with the Relationship Manager and Relationship Officer on any discrepancies.

Conducts audits to ensure operational compliance and efficiency.

Sales and Referrals:

Identify client needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services.

Cross-selling of financial products. Participate in sales campaigns and work towards achieving individual and branch targets.

Refer clients to branch leadership for cash management services and lending opportunities.


Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Comprehensive understanding of compliance and branch operations.

Confidence with branch opening and closing procedures.

Strong understanding of all transactional and account opening requirements and procedures.

Ability to educate clients and coach team on the features and benefits of BankProv.s products

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Sales-oriented with a focus on contributing to branch targets.

Advanced ability to handle cash and process financial transactions with a strong attention to detail

Ability to problem-solve effectively with a client first mindset.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.

Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Basic math skills and proficiency with computers and bank software.

Comfortable assisting clients over the telephone.

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED is required.

Minimum of two years of retail banking experience.

Previous supervisory experience is a plus.

Travel:

Availability to travel on short notice to meet immediate business needs may be required.
