What will your job look like
MTM Transit in partnership with Orange County is looking for both full time and part time CDL drivers to join our team in Newburgh New York. We currently have training classes that start every couple of weeks!

What youll need:
Experience Education & Certifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must possess a valid New York Class C or Class B CDL with passenger endorsement or ability to obtain
Must have no more than 1 moving violation per year for the past 5 years
No DUI or DWI convictions
In the event that your license has been previously revoked you must have at least 3 full subsequent years post reinstatement with no moving violations
Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
No rail crossing convictions
No careless or reckless driving convictions
No driving with license is suspended or revoked
No attempting to elude a police officer
Valid authorization to work in the United States
Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history
Skills:
Ability to use a tablet GPS two-way radio or other electronicdevice
Ability to maintain high level ofconfidentiality
Ability to communicate with others and comprehendinstructions
Ability to understand highway traffic signs signals maps manifests andschedules
Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA ADA and DOTregulations
Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the servicearea
What Youll Do:
Provide safe and reliabletransportation
Demonstrateexcellentdefensivedrivingskills
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and externalstakeholders
Must assist with passenger loading and unloading fromvehicle
Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safetyprotocols
Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of thecustomer
Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals withdisabilities
Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip post-trip and DVI inspections asrequired
Complete paperwork asrequired
Utilize tablets or electronic devices asrequired
