Clin Svc Representative I
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Point of Service Operations Serves as a first-line liaison for internal and externalcustomers including guests clients faculty staff students vendors and with customers in person by telephone email fax or postal patients and confirms appointments. Inspects insurance cards orauthorization notices. Identifies and collects deductibles co-payments ordeposits on services. Explains and satisfies any necessary patient signaturerequirements. Performs CSR duties at multiple clinic locations.
- Makes phone contacts to other departments physicians patients and otheroutside organizations as necessary for the departmental/practice operations.
- Maintains patient scheduling functions and sets patient appointments throughestablished guidelines.
- Interviews and completes the registration process for patients utilizing the specificservice. Operates various office equipment and computer systems.
- Performs cashiering functions as it relates to co-payments or other patientpayments/collections. May perform routine clerical duties for the department performother general office and administrative duties such as filing receivingand sorting mail.
- Provides administrative support to providers and management staff and assists inorganization of clinical service. Problem solves issues with registrationschedules appointments etc.
$17 to $18 per hour depending on education and experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to four years clerical/customer service experience preferred ideally in a health care related industry serving HIV/AIDS population.
- One year experience with third party payors and computer experience for imputing data and reviewing patient demographic material preferred.
This is a time-limited position. Time limited positions are based on circumstances such as funding sources which control the length of time for which the position is available.
