About the Role:
The Global Money Movement team focuses on building and maintaining a software platform which is used by customer facing product lines to move money between our customers and their recipients across borders using connections with external partners.
As a Software Development Engineer II you will build and maintain a platform to enable fast integration of new product lines with the existing Remitly ecosystem. Youll work closely with various stakeholders across different time zones designing and implementing effective solutions with a strong focus on customer impact.
You will report directly to the Engineering Manager based in Poland.
You Will:
Design develop test and maintain software applications and systems ensuring high-quality scalable and efficient solutions.
Collaborate across teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and develop solutions to meet business needs.
Develop and maintain technical documentation including design documents technical specifications and testing plans.
Participate in code reviews ensuring adherence to coding standards best practices and industry trends.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues identifying root causes and implementing fixes.
Support the Money Movement Global team through a rotating on-call schedule
You Have:
3 years of experience in software development with a focus on languages such as Java/Kotlin or Golang.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages including scripting languages and experience with cloud-based technologies.
Experience with Agile development methodologies version control systems such as Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Strong understanding of data structures algorithms and software design patterns.
Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
Experience with a non-relational / noSQL database.
Fluent English on B2 level or higher.
