Job Duties and Tasks
- Operate assigned precision CNC machinery.
- Receives process traveler verify revisions match review completed previous operations on all paperwork.
- Receives material loads pallets and robot as necessary.
- Checks parts for conformances according to inspection plan and blueprint using measuring instruments confidently
- Verify the correct program is running on the machine and revision matches traveler.
- Red tag units that are out of specification (OOS) and submit to the Quality Manager.
- Observe line clearance procedures.
- Ensure work area machine tooling and parts are cleaned regularly and free from excess oil. Tooling returned to proper area.
- Maintain quality and acceptable production outputs.
- Perform daily and routine preventive maintenance on assigned machine based on established standards and record it.
- Offset the machine to the blueprint for part conformance as needed.
- Replace tooling at the machine when required.
- Attend all assigned meetings
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Key Skills Knowledge and Competencies:
- One - Three years of machinist experience required preferably within a medical device company.
- Exposure to ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 as it relates to the job.
- Time management prioritization and organization skills.
- Knowledge of testing equipment statistical methods and control plans.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills.
- High School or equivalent.
- English communication skills preferred.
- General knowledge of precision measuring instruments. The instruments should include but not limited to calipers ID / OD micrometers depth gauges indicators and plug and tread Go/No Go gauges.
- Ability to read Blueprints.
- Required knowledge of basic math skills to include but not limited to adding subtracting multiplication division geometry and algebra.
- Skilled in adapting to a changing work environment competing demands and ability to deal with frequent change delays or unexpected events.
- Skilled in setting priorities that move projects through efficiently - achieving customer and quality objectives.
- Skilled in working independently following through with assignments with minimal direction.
- Reasoning skills including but not limited to comparing classifying analyzing and coordinating- while minimizing duplication.
Schedule after initial training on 1st shift: M-Th 10hour shift from 6PM - 4:30AM
