We have a challenging and exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Supervisor who is energetic can multi-task and problem solve and has the drive and motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced setting.
Primary Purpose:
Maintains the accuracy of existing inventory incoming and outgoing shipments/transfers production materials and finished goods for two plants under the same roof.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees inventory cycle count programs; validates physical counts and product accuracy.
- Performs and directs the team to undertake and complete physical counts of raw and finished materials and compares results to the bill of materials and pick lists for accuracy.
- Identifies differences between corresponding paperwork and actual count; provide updates to the Warehouse Manager and the Buyer identified on the order.
- Researches inventory variances to find the root cause analysis (RCA) of the audit and assists with corrective actions. Corrects ERP system in a timely manner.
- Audits the receipt of goods and materials received into the warehouse through transfers and purchase orders. Understands the differences between the following units of measure: each pack master carton roll etc.
- Supports materials movement for production work orders to both plants.
- Assists in other work areas as needed during absences/shortages of staff.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent math aptitude capable of handling large volumes of item numbers and new product launches.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read analyze and interpret shipping documents. Ability to discern the difference between purchase unit of measure and issue unit of measure. Ensures inventory is correct physically and systematically to support production accordingly.
- Capable of performing duties and meeting deadlines in a high-paced and at times stressful environment; tolerance for frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Comfortable working and communicating with diverse groups.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- General knowledge of ERP systems.
- Able to handle working on and completing projects within tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism.
Education/Certification:
- 5 years experience in a similar role.
- 3 years warehouse
- 2 years in a lead or supervisor role
- High School diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
- Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
Supervises and directs the activities of two cycle counters one for each plant. Varies tasks assignments between these two associates to ensure completion of all daily tasks for both plants.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Majority of work occurs in a warehouse environment with infrequent periods of sitting at a desk using a computer and other office equipment. Moderate walking and standing in the warehouse with light lifting. Follow and adhere to all company safety policies and regulations.
Work Hours:
Monday Friday 8am-5pm with occasional extended hours as required to complete inventory/auditing activities.
