Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies series documentaries and live sports including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV Max Crunchyroll and MGM. Key job responsibilities
Were reinventing how defects are detected in complex client apps like Prime Video and machine learning is going to be a key enabler to achieving that vision. The traditional approach of developing end-to-end integration tests on a per client basis isnt feasible at our global scale and large client distribution footprint. That approach to testing also doesnt detect unknown/unknown types of defects which occur more often than youd expect when you operate a worldwide streaming video service used by hundreds of millions of customers.

About the team
The Prime Video Global App Experience organization operates at planet-wide scale and is a critical part of Prime Videos flywheel. Our client apps (mobile living room desktop automotive) are the gateway to the Prime Video experience enabling customers to quickly find something to watch at which point the app fades in the background and the customer is immersed in the storytelling.
- 3 years of building models for business application experience
- PhD or Masters degree and 4 years of CS CE ML or related field experience
- Experience programming in Java C Python or related language
- Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures parsing numerical optimization data mining parallel and distributed computing high-performance computing
- PhD in computer science computer engineering or related field
- - Demonstrated ability in at least one machine learning domain (e.g. deep learning NLP reinforcement learning)
- - Expertise in large language models or demonstrated ability to develop this expertise quickly.
- - Experience in Computer Science fundamentals such as object-oriented design algorithm design data structures problem solving and complexity analysis.
- - Excellent written and verbal technical communication with an ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
