Overview

Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests in Chemistry Blood Bank Hematology Immunology Urinalysis and Microbiology (preferred).
- Conduct quality control procedures including calibration of instruments.
- Troubleshoot instrument errors and document maintenance.
- Review critical results and notify appropriate personnel following established protocols.
- Maintain accuracy and reliability with minimal supervision.
- Participate in staff meetings continuing education and compliance training.
- Follow patient safety and infection control standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of laboratory results in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Certification from ASCP AMT or equivalent (MT MLS or CLS certification).
- Bachelors degree in medical laboratory science medical technology or related field.
- Completion of medical technology clinical practice program.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a generalist (experience across all lab areas preferred).
- Experience in Microbiology is preferred but not required.

All candidates must be able to:
- Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
