Job Duties

The Agency Management Analyst will be responsible for tracking and evaluating visitor applications an applying policy and procedure and other guidelines to determined and support visitation decisions. Filers paper applications and disposes of VCIN and background hits as necessary. Corresponds with visitors officer and wardens and performs research using VACORIS as needed. Be able to make appropriate decisions based on research and review visitation appeals in the Scheduler.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Drivers License. Virginia Department of Corrections experience especially in the area of adult institutions and visitation is beneficial. Knowledge of and ability to apply the Departments operational visitation practices policies and procedures. Skilled in developing and maintaining effective working relationship with supervisor and co-workers. Ability to research and respond accurately to correspondence. Must be detail oriented and be able to work independently with minimum supervision. Experience in providing customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting. Ability to adapt to changes in procedures priories and the automated systems quickly and effectively. Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in using office equipment i.e. computers printers scanners copiers and fax machines. Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to obtain Virginia Criminal Investigation Network (VCIN) certification.

Additional Considerations

Advanced knowledge in criminal justice corrections or a related field. Proficient in the use of windows operating systems to include Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Access) to accomplish office support office support requirements in a fast-paced environment.
