Job Description

Location: Port Adelaide SA

Aurizon is Australias largest rail freight operator and an integral part of the Australian economy moving over 250 million tonnes of commodities annually. With the recent acquisition of Flinders Logistics we are strengthening our presence in South Australia offering rail and port solutions that benefit customers across the region. As we expand our operations in Port Adelaide we are excited to invite enthusiastic individuals to join our growing team!

About the role:

As Supply Chain Coordinator youll support the day-to-day coordination of port and rail logistics to ensure safe efficient and reliable operations.

  • Coordinate daily movements across port depot and rail to meet service and freight targets
  • Liaise with internal teams customers and service providers to align on scheduling and capacity
  • Ensure operational compliance with customer requirements and relevant regulations (e.g. NHVR customs port access)
  • Assist with reporting invoicing and freight data to support service delivery and revenue accuracy
  • Maintain accurate records and support planning purchasing and operational reporting activities
  • Support incident response and investigation processes as required

About You:

Youre a strong communicator who thrives in a busy logistics environment and enjoys working as part of a team. Youll also bring:

  • Experience in logistics rail transport or supply chain operations
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of transport compliance requirements (e.g. NHVR customs port regulations)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Experience with freight or cargo management systems (desirable)
  • Flexibility to work across changing priorities and operational demands
  • Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
  • Flexibility to work at short notice including irregular hours and weekends when required
