  • Salary from $125K pa to $138K pa plus super

Are you a Geographic Information System (GIS) specialist ready to make a real impact in the mining and exploration sector The Resources Regulator (part of NSW Resources) is looking for a forward-thinking and technically skilled Senior Inspector to lead spatial innovation analyse spatial data and maintain spatial systems to assist with the regulation of mining and exploration sites across NSW.

About the Role

As a Senior Inspector GIS and Spatial Services youll be the go-to expert for spatial data integration analysis and visualisation. Youll support the Mining Act Inspectorate by maintaining up-to-date spatial layers analysing stakeholder data in the Mine Rehabilitation Portal (MRP) and delivering high-quality mapping and analytics to guide inspections and enforcement.

This role is critical to ensuring the MRP and other GIS systems are fit for purpose and that data received and created is accurate accessible and actionable. Youll work closely with internal teams like the Information Management Team and external providers to align spatial systems with regulatory needs.
