John Mulhall came to Omaha in 1953 to landscape and now three generations later were as committed as weve ever been to making Omaha a more beautiful place to live. A DAY IN THE LIFE
As the leader of the Nursery Yard and Operations departments and a member of the Garden Home senior leadership team youll report to the Head of Mulhalls Garden Home and be accountable to the outcomes of all things in the Nursery Yard and Operations departments including helping our customers find the perfect plants keeping the sales floor fully stocked and fostering a work environment that is inclusive passionate and fun all in line with our vision to be the most loved plant shop in the country.
YOUR IMPACT
o Lead and manage a large team modeling what it means to be a manager in line with our Purpose Vision and Core Values
o Model what it means to be an LOD our entire team can depend on through consistent touring using your tools and helping solve problems as they arise
o Manage a wide variety of projects including salesfloor and event sets ad-hoc projects and daily cleaning checklists using established principles and methods to reach key goals and reinforce daily processes
o Manage Customer wait times by consistently using our waitlist program to route and address customer needs
o Own Store Operations including staging plant maintenance customer loading and customer billing
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
o 3 years of experience managing a team
o 3 years of experience in retail or a related field
o Strong organizational time-management and multi-tasking skills
o A natural leader as comfortable with praise as they are with candid critical feedback
o The ability to manage multiple competing priorities with a consistently positive response to pressure
o An uncompromising eye for organization and customer experience
