Primary Purpose:
Serve as an instructional collaborator to enhance and support the overall curriculum and instructional program.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree Masters preferred
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Certified in Math content area
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of K-12 math TEKS/SEs and curriculum and instruction
Capable of evaluating instructional programs
Ability to interpret data and develop an action plan
Strong organizational communication public relations and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of variety of teaching strategies
Ability to enhance instruction by integrating technology into curriculum.
Working knowledge of curriculum and assessment writing/alignment process
Problem Solver

Flexible
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience in math
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Curriculum/Instruction:
- Coordinate the review development and revision of content-related programs and related curriculum documents and materials.
- Work cooperatively with directors coordinators and campus instructional leaders in developing and supervising the district math curriculum.
- Plans improves and oversees district curriculum and curriculum-based assessments in math.
- Provide Local Assessment and AWARE Management Support. Compile regular reports reflecting current student performance or other data as needed.
- Oversee the maintenance of district math curriculum within the online curriculum management system.
- Assists in providing resources and materials to support staff in accomplishing program goals.
- Work with campus leadership to analyze assessment and other data to improve curriculum and student achievement.
- Involve instructional staff in evaluating and selecting instructional materials to meet student learning needs.
- Work cooperatively with teachers and other appropriate staff to ensure effective instructional technology integration.
Professional Development:
- Develop and conduct or arrange for staff development sessions including sessions on delivery of instruction and best instructional practices in math.
- Disseminate information regarding current research and significant developments on the state and national levels in curriculum.
- Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback and assistance to classroom teachers to facilitate
improvement and innovation.
- Model effective teaching strategies with students in classrooms.
School/Community Relations:
- Assist in communicating information to parents and community members about school programs in curriculum.
- Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
- Keep informed of and comply with state district and school regulations and policies.
- Compile maintain and file all physical and computerized reports records and other documents as required.
- Assist with the selection and purchase of supplemental equipment and supplies for the program.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
