Job Description

Job Summary (Medical Laboratory Scientist) Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation

- Performs specimen processing laboratory testing and reporting of test results.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements hospital policies and quality care objectives.
- Works in a hospital laboratory providing services in chemistry hematology coagulation urinalysis phlebotomy blood bank microbiology and clinical microscopy.
- Handles high complexity clinical laboratory tests across various specialties.
- Operates in a 24-hour laboratory setting working rotational shifts including days evenings nights weekends holidays and occasional overtime.
- Maintains accurate documentation and records for lab results and quality control.
- Collaborates with medical and nursing staff to ensure timely and accurate lab services for patient care.
- Utilizes laboratory equipment and technology safely and efficiently.
- Adheres to safety protocols and infection control standards in all laboratory activities.
- Participates in continuing education and training to stay current with laboratory best practices and new technologies.
