Job Description
Reports to: Project Manager (Client)
Location: Germany (specific city based on project requirements)
Number of Openings:Several
Employment Type:Full-time
Salary:Negotiable (based on experience and skills compliant with German market standards)
Responsibilities
- Install configure and maintain FTTH (Fiber to the Home) infrastructure to ensure smooth and stable user connectivity.
- Carry out fiber optic cable laying splicing testing and equipment installation according to NE4 project standards.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues providing technical support to end-users.
- Collaborate with the NE4 project team to implement construction plans and ensure timely project completion.
- Communicate with users answer questions and offer professional guidance on network usage.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fiber network equipment.
- Adhere to German safety regulations and construction standards to ensure compliance and operational safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements & Skills
Education:
- Vocational school diploma or higher preferably in telecommunications computer networks electronic information or related fields.
Work Experience:
- Prior experience in FTTH installation and maintenance is preferred.
- Experience in the German or European markets is an advantage.
- Candidates without experience may receive training but must have a relevant technical background.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in fiber optic splicing cabling and testing.
- Familiar with installing and configuring common network devices (e.g. optical modems routers).
- Basic network troubleshooting skills.
Language Requirements:
- Basic German communication skills (B1 level or above) to interact effectively with users and team members.
- English proficiency is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Responsible detail-oriented and a team player.
- Possession of German or EU-recognized certifications (e.g. electrician license working-at-height certification) is preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks.
- Familiarity with German FTTH standards and NE4 project requirements is a plus.
