Job Quick Facts:

Reason For Coverage: Supplemental

Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing

Coverage Type: Clinical only

Shift Schedule: 7 on 7 off; 630a-630p

Patient Volume: 10

Admissions Required: Yes

Rounding Included: Yes

Support Staff: 2 APPs

Physicians in Practice: 7 Neurosurgeons

Case Mix: Split between Spinal & Cranial cases or varies; May be a 50/50 though this can fluctuate based on surgical volume & patient needs.

Duties:

- Does not include OR coverage; Strictly 100% IP floor coverage.

- Responsibilities in MICU SICU & ED

Required Skills:

- Strong background in neurosurgery including experience w/ post-operative & neurocritical care.

- Robust experience in neurosurgical patient mgmt especially post-op care & ICU-level acuity.

Beds in the Dept: 10

Trauma Levels: I III

EMR: Cerner

Travel lodging and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements:

MT License

BC/BE

ACLS BLS

Experience in neurocritical care (preferred)
