Job Description |
What you will be doing: Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Render professional collaborative care to adult patients under the direction of a member of the medical staff
- Follow the healthcare practitioner’s treatment plan standards of care and professional code of ethics
- Promote the health potential of the whole person and assure optimal care through assessing planning implementing and evaluating patient care
- Demonstrate ability to delegate appropriately and direct staff in coordination and delivery of care
- Assume accountability for the appropriate utilization of resources
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem solving
- Be sensitive to the needs of patients families physicians and coworkers
- Assume personal accountability for organizational mission core and shared values
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Assure safe high-quality patient care
- Proactively identify complications and communicate findings
- Work in an outpatient clinic and perform inpatient rounding and consults
- Supervise stress testing (echo exercise nuclear and dobutamine) and tilt table testing
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Experience you will need: Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Must have two years of experience working as NP or PA in Cardiology.
- Masters degree in nursing; graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or completion of PA program
- Unrestricted APN or PA License in Colorado (DORA)
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) with cards in-hand before start date
- General health care and cardiovascular patient assessment and exam skills
- Ability to function independently
