Your Tasks
This Process Engineering Internship focuses on a feasibility study for the manufacturing of porous transport layers (PTLs) which are key components in PEM Electrolysers produced through tape casting and sintering. Responsibilities include creating measuring and testing prototypes analyzing the relationship between process and product parameters and improving prototype equipment. The intern will work closely with a large team of 60 engineers dedicated to advancing the next generation of PEM Electrolysers collaborating with experts in process and product development as well as those from the measurement and testing departments.
Assist in making measuring and testing prototypes of porous transport layers (PTLs) for PEM Electrolysers.
Analyze the relationship between process parameters and product performance to optimize PTL manufacturing processes.
Support the improvement of prototype equipment used for tape casting and sintering to enhance PTL quality and efficiency.
Collaborate closely with engineers from process and product development as well as teams from the measurement room and test department.
An alternative assignment is an experimental study on a single cell electrolyser to investigate the effect of contamination on membrane degradation. The final assignment will be decided later this year
