The Opportunity

The Manager Flight Dispatch Load Control Standards and Compliance role plays a critical role in managing and maintaining operational delivery areas of the Amadeus Flight Management Load Control system ensuring subject matter expertise and compliance.

The role oversees quality assurance activities continuous improvement initiatives and audit action plans while leading the review update and delivery of load control training programs. The incumbent ensures business continuity in dispatch load control functions safety investigations stakeholder collaboration and external provider management.

This role will act as delegate for Manager Dispatch Operations and for Manager Dispatch Standards & Compliance as required.

Reporting to the Manager Dispatch Operations your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining JOCC Load Control systems standards and procedures in collaboration with Flight Operations and Weight & Balance teams.
  • Managing and updating the Amadeus Flight Management Load Control planning software.
  • Overseeing JOCC and external provider Load Control training programs ensuring compliance with regulatory and proficiency requirements.
  • Representing Load Control in safety investigations risk assessments and audits and ensuring timely follow-up on findings.
  • Acting as delegate for senior dispatch management roles and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leading stakeholder engagement and managing performance of external load control providers through regular reviews and audits.
  • Ensuring business continuity through effective roster planning leave management and resource coordination.
  • Managing a team of 8 direct reports including coaching mentoring and development as well as indirectly leading an offshore team.

To be successful in this role ideally youll have:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Dispatch Operations or Load Control role.
  • Qualification as a Flight Dispatch Operations Officer / Manager and/or Load Controller.
  • A Private or Commercial Pilot Licence (PPL/CPL) highly regarded.
  • A bachelors or masters degree in an aviation-related discipline advantageous.
  • Ability to lead/manage/supervise a team including coaching mentoring and development.
  • Familiarity with Amadeus Flight Management (FM) software
  • Strong technical competency in dispatch operations.
  • Ability to commit to infrequent domestic & international travel as per operational requirements.
  • A people-focused mindset with proven team leadership capabilities.
  • Proactive stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with innovative thinking and a drive for best practice.
