The Role:

As an Embedded Software Engineer you will be working with a unique and gifted team developing exciting products for consumers and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
We are looking for a talented and passionate Embedded Software Engineer to be part of an exciting team. You will have an enormous opportunity to make a large impact on the design architecture and implementation of cutting edge products used every day by people you know.
Key job responsibilities
Be responsible for system architecture and development of new features for embedded systems
Investigate prototype and deliver new and innovative system solutions
Design develop and verify firmware and drivers for embedded systems
Participate in design reviews API development and documentation
Work with new technologies that are vital to product development
Deliver investigation plans and reports architectural documents design specs software and firmware source code build scripts
Perform tasks including debug bring-up Beta and production software development
Successfully collaborate with both software and hardware product teams
- 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
