Phlebotomists

Veterans Engineering (VE) is currently seeking skilled andcompassionate Phlebotomists to support clinical operations at Jesse Brown VAMedical Center. In this role youll play a critical part in the care journeyof our veterans by ensuring accurate and timely blood specimen collection fordiagnostic testing.

• Schedule: Full-time various shifts available (including evenings and weekends)
• Facility Type: Federal Veteran-Focused High Patient Volume
• Duration: 6-month base with 4-year extension potential
• Hourly Rate: Based on experience shift and certifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Prepare specimens for laboratory processing
• Accurately label and document collections per VA and facility protocol
• Maintain strict infection control and safety standards
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with veteran patients and clinical staff

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program
• Current certification (e.g. ASCP NHA NCPT) preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience in a hospital or clinic setting
• Familiarity with VA systems or federal healthcare a plus
• Must pass federal background check and credentialing
