DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role is situated within the Dams and Waterways Section of the Waterways and Wetlands Program primarily focusing on engineering tasks related to hydrology and hydraulics. The main responsibility of this position involves executing engineering work essential for the implementation of statewide initiatives concerning waterway management and floodplain management as mandated by the Dam Safety and Encroachments Act the Clean Streams Law and the Flood Plain Management Act. Additionally this position encompasses independent engineering activities in hydrology and hydraulics which are crucial for the execution of statewide programs related to NPDES Stormwater Construction Permitting Erosion and Sedimentation Control and Post-Construction Stormwater Management. These activities are governed by the Clean Streams Law and relevant regulations including Chapter 102 which addresses Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Management as well as Chapter 93 which outlines Water Quality Standards. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday - Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown.
- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $67678 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers Land Surveyors and Geologists;or
- Successful completion of the Civil Engineer Trainee training program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- Four years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty and an engineer-in-training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers Land Surveyors and Geologists and an associates degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline;or
- One year of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty and a bachelors degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
Special Requirements:- This position requirespossession of a valid drivers license.

- PA residency requirementis currentlywaivedfor this title.
