We currently have an opportunity for a Employee Experience Officer in Canberra.This role is central to providing exceptional employee experience for our new starters while supporting the growth of our people. The Employee Experience Officer will deliver induction coordinate learning programs and contribute to key employee engagement initiatives that address our strategic priorities.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape our future culture by focusing on both capability and employee experience. This role sits at the intersection of learning and development and employee engagement providing vital operational coordination and support to the DPS workforce. Youll be the go-to person for keeping things running behind the scenes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for detail process improvement and people-focused work.

What Youll Do

This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:

  • Coordinate core activities such as new starter induction internal mobility and engagement projects.
  • Support the continuous improvement of performance learning and engagement platforms.
  • Maintain resources for our people and deliver 1-on-1 support for our people.
  • Manage data and reporting tools to track and evaluate capability and employee engagement activities.
  • Provide responsive people-focused support and advice to team members across the business.
  • Play a key role in coordinating employee initiatives including but not limited to culture-building projects core engagement work and professional development.
  • Help employees and leaders navigate people processes with confidence and ease.
  • Support the team with delivering training development activities and initiatives that build capability across the business.

What Youll Bring

  • Experience in an HR L&D & employee support role (or equivalent administrative coordination role with a people-focus).
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence in working with systems and data with the ability to maintain accuracy and discretion.
  • Proactive and people-oriented mindset with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A team player attitude with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
  • Familiarity with L&D or HR platforms is a plus but not essential as well support your learning.
