Description

Job Summary: The Pool Deck & Restaurant Hospitality Attendant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences for members and guests at Tahoe Mountain Club. This position combines the responsibilities of both Food Runner and Pool Deck Attendant ensuring seamless service outstanding cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere across both restaurant and pool deck environments. The attendant supports food and beverage operations maintains pool and deck presentation and upholds the highest standards of hospitality and safety at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Greet and address members and guests by name when possible ensuring a warm friendly and professional atmosphere upon arrival and departure.
  • Support servers bartenders and kitchen staff by delivering food and non-alcoholic beverages expediting orders and performing side work such as polishing glassware and silverware folding napkins and setting tables.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all service areas including wait stations expediter stations buffet/express menu stations towel stations and pool decks.
  • Monitor the pool area for cleanliness removing toys goggles and debris and ensuring umbrellas and furniture are properly set up and stored each day.
  • Fold and restock laundered towels.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries requests and concerns providing accurate information and solutions in a courteous manner.
  • Perform opening and closing duties for both restaurant and pool deck areas ensuring readiness for service and compliance with safety and facility standards.
  • Ensure all tables are set according to reservations and club standards and reset tables efficiently after guest use.
  • Assist with moving indoor and outdoor furniture as needed for restaurant or pool deck operations.
  • Report and immediately act on safety concerns maintenance issues or hazards incorporating safe work practices at all times.
  • Attending staff meetings and participating in ongoing training to uphold club standards of excellence and teamwork.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to assist in other areas or perform additional tasks as needed due to the dynamic nature of club operations.
  • Consistently maintain a polished professional appearance and uniform throughout each shift.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all guest-facing and service areas ensuring a safe and inviting environment at all times.
  • Uphold the clubs Standards of Excellence by delivering attentive anticipatory service and fostering a culture of respect teamwork and hospitality.
  • Other duties as needed.

Because of the fluctuating demands of the Clubs operation it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore as an essential part of your job you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly you may be expected to perform other tasks not specifically addressed above.

Reports to: Restaurant Manager Director of Food & Beverage and/or Member Services and Recreation Manager depending on assignment and shift.

Supervises: N/A

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Must be 16 years of age or older. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

Language/Communication: Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. Crew Members may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or crew members the manuals for the equipment the Crew Members may use are in English). Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain open communication with managers and fellow crew members. Must display professional demeanor and always communicate effectively and professionally.

Certificates/Licenses: California Food Handlers Card required upon hire. Plus all other states and companies require training.
