NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: Academic Interventionist - Jr/Sr High School
REPORTS TO: Jr/Sr High School Principal
STARTING DATE: Fall 2025
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Teachers Certificate grades 6-12.
- Highly Qualified as defined by the Michigan Department of Education.
- Graduate of a recognized college or university.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide targeted academic support to students who are performing below grade level or at risk of academic failure.
- Deliver individual and small-group instruction to students in need of academic support focusing on core subjects such as math reading writing social studies and science.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with classroom instruction and curriculum standards.
- Track and report student progress regularly; adjust interventions based on student response and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and district policies.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities related to academic intervention strategies and instructional best practices.
- Work collaboratively with others and be a positive team member throughout the building and district.
