Student Events Coordinator Assistant

The Tilhqotin National Government (TNG) is the official First Nations government serving the Tilhqotin Nation. TNG is located in Williams Lake British Columbia and serves six communities including Esdilagh Tideldel Yuneitin Tletinqox Xeni Gwetin and Tlesqox.
TheStudent Event Coordinator Assistant will aid the Event Coordinator in organizing various functions and events put on by TNG. The Student Event Coordinator Assistant will help in all aspects of organizing events the tasks include but are not limited to the set up and take down of all events including presentation equipment chairs tables setting up and testing electronics.
Key Responsibilities
- Help with the coordination of events including Nation gatherings dinners and training sessions
- Follow established procedures collaborate with other employees and ensure accuracy that events progress seamlessly
- Communicate consistently with the Event Coordinator and aid the Event Coordinator at the event as needed
- Collaborate with other staff to develop promotional materials for the event
- Aid with internal and external communication vendors and suppliers
- Source venues and locations obtain quotes and conduct site visits
- Liaise with caterers exhibiters delegates and speakers
- Maintain detailed and accurate event files such as exhibiter database contracts and financial information
- Co-ordinate the delivery of materials to events
- Provide administrative support to the event staff
- Solve problems and/or suggest alternatives to problematic arrangements
- Other duties as requested
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in school and must be taking full time courses in September 2025

Working Conditions
- Travel may be required
