As Manager Data & Information Management for the Biodiversity Offset Scheme (BOS) and its Digital Transformation at DCCEEW you will lead the strategic transformation and governance of data assets to support the schemes life cycle operations. This role is critical to driving the effective use of data across the BOS by delivering robust data architecture implementing sustainable data governance and fostering innovative data solutions that enhance automation process optimisation and decision-making transparency. You will work closely with the Digital Information Office and internal stakeholders to align data management strategies with departmental priorities ensuring that BOS data services are scalable compliant and positioned to support predictive modelling workflows and reporting.
You will also lead a dedicated team of 3-5 staff in delivering high-quality secure data services guiding the development of policies standards and capabilities that enhance the departments use of information. Building strong partnerships across DCCEEW and with external vendors youll influence data owners and manage change in a complex environment ensuring applications and digital initiatives fully leverage the potential of data. This role offers the opportunity to shape how data is used to deliver environmental and regulatory outcomes helping to achieve the departments broader goals of environmental conservation climate action and sustainable resource management.
About You
To be successful in this role youll bring a strong mix of technical expertise project management strategic leadership and collaboration. Youre an experienced data strategist who understands the value of data in driving outcomes and are passionate about using information to support environmental goals. You thrive in complex multi-stakeholder environments and lead confidently in data-rich policy-driven settings.
