Job Overview
The Automation Technician will safely maintain all assets within an automated warehouse facility including conveyance systems and other electromechanical components; dock doors levelers and other facility equipment; while actively supporting the operation to ensure all equipment is running per the efficiency and effectiveness of its design. This role will utilize technical expertise to make operational and or strategic decisions based on the condition of equipment or other factors; properly record work performed and communicated using the tools and processes provided such as accountability of time and materials used.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure automated warehousing system is operating effectively and efficiently by actively monitoring assessing and repairing as needed
Perform planned preventative maintenance of automation equipment to prevent downtime or reduction in efficiency
Maintain facility equipment in both a corrective and preventative capacity
Support of the operation in a variety of functions within the facility
Report and communicate work performed recommended or required
Perform other duties as assigned
