The Facilities Technician will be responsible for performing new and ongoing maintenance of facility related duties to support the clinic operations and assist in creating a top-notch experience within all Metro PT locations. The role will encompass our LI Westchester and New England expansion facilities. Travel is required (local and non-local as necessary). This position will be based out of our HQ in Garden City NY with up to 75% local travel required. Must have a reliable mode of transportation to travel between locations!
What Youll be Doing!
- Assist with maintenance and repairs of clinics.
- Make periodic tours of the interior/exterior of the sites and equipment to ensure standards are being maintained.
- Follow all assigned checklists and respond to facilities support requests in a timely manner.
- Identify troubleshoot and repair minor electrical problems issues with HVAC mechanical equipment lighting appliances and other applicable items relating to clinic maintenance.
- Perform minor repairs to structural surfaces including walls ceiling and floors.
- Work closely with the IT team; assisting with overall IT needs and the installation of computers.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed such as procurement vendor coordination scheduling etc.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $25-28/hr. Pay rate is based on several factors including job related knowledge and skill set depth of experience certifications and/or degrees.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Trade school or relevant certifications and/or job experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Facilities experience
- Prior multi-site facilities support experience is a plus
- Strong technical abilities required; experience installing computers is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills and attention to details.
- Highly organized strong attention to detail and a natural problem solver
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Must possess a valid and clean NY drivers license and reliable transportation to travel between Metro locations as needed.
