Caterpillar Inc. seeks Software Engineer at its facility located at 5205 N OConnor Blvd Ste. 100 Irving TX 75039. Responsible for generating operational insights and driving corrective actions within our digital ecosystem. Develop new operational capabilities monitor complex pipelines and triage data quality & performance issues. Develop new monitoring solutions and automations to accelerate issue detection and correction. Monitor pipeline execution for failures or anomalies. Use a variety of tools and methods. Liaise with designers engineers and support teams to improve data pipeline performance & reliability. Maintain and improve data quality scorecard measurements. Perform all programming project management and development assignments without close supervision. Normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work. Work directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution. Respond to off-shift and weekend support calls. Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team. Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development debugging and testing of application software for accuracy integrity interoperability and completeness. Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely quality results. REQS: This position requires a bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Data Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in data science data operations data engineering or related occupation. Additionally the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) 2 years of experience with AWS services such as: S3 RDS DynamoDB Lambda Sagemaker IAM; (2) 2 years of experience with software development or data engineering with a focus on data quality data warehousing; (3) 3 years of experience with data governance metadata management data quality data modeling and data architecture concepts; and (4) 2 years of Data Integration development experience. Telecommuting: 1 day/week. Travel Requirements: 15% domestic.
Summary Pay Range:
$149781.00 - $155400.00
